Tender is invited through the e-tendering GeM portal by Airport Director, Airports Authority of India, Varanasi on behalf of Chairman, AAI from the registered Firms / Companies / specialized agencies / Contractors having experience for the work of “Job contract for providing manpower for bird and wildlife hazard control in operational area at LBSI Airport Varanasi.” for a period of 01 years at an estimated cost of Rs 6052473/- (Rupees Sixty lakh fifty two thousand four hundred seventy three) (inclusive of G.S.T., PF, ESI and Bonus) for a period of 12 (Twelve) months (i.e. 365 Days/1 Year). The scope of work broadly includes providing manpower for catering airside surveillance round the clock to check animal/bird menace during ATC watch hours, FOD work and zone gun operation in operational area at Varanasi Airport with the help of sixteen (16) number of manpower for one year.
The deployed manpower shall have to mandatorily perform the following tasks
i.To keep a vigilant watch in operational area, mainly on Runway and Runway Strip to observe if any bird/wildlife activity is present.
ii.To inform ATC tower in case of any bird/wildlife activity observed inside operational area, mainly on Runway and Runway Strip.
iii.To chase away the birds/wildlife by bursting of crackers or with the help of operational jeep as the case may be.
iv.Ring the bell kept in bird chaser’s hut whenever any bird activity is observed.
v.If any bird activity is observed on runway and after inspection it is found that insects on runway are reason behind that activity then sweeping and removal of insects shall be carried out by bird chasers.
vi.To carry out the bio walk and dislocate the eggs of birds lying in operational area.
vii.To operate the Laser guns provided as and when required.
viii.To remove dead/injured bird/animal, cracker residual, plastic item such as bottles wrappers from the runway and the surrounding area within the operational area.

Following two envelopes shall be submitted through on-line GeM -portal by the bidder. Last date and time of submission of bids (Envelope I & II) is 24.07.2023.
Envelope-I: - Containing EMD, Pre-Qualifying requirements (PQ) & Technical Bid of Contractor / Firm.
Envelope-II: The financial bids of the contractors / firms found to be meeting the qualifying requirements and technical criteria shall be opened.
