Independence Day Celebrations at Chennai Airport 

On the occasion of 71^st Independence Day, Chennai Airport Director, Shri G.Chandramouli, hoisted the tricolour at 0800 hrs in front of Chennai Airport.

After flag hoisting Airport Director elaborated the various projects undertaken by the Chennai Airport to improve upon the passenger amenities. He also described the details of the ongoing work and proposed works to be undertaken in the coming future.

Flag hoisting was also undertaken at the AAI Residential Colony by Airport Director. The tricolour was unfurled at the Chennai Airport Matriculation School by President Kalyanmayee, Smt. Bhageerathi Chandramouli. RED (Southern Region) also hoisted the flag in the ATS complex at Chennai.

The illumination at the terminal building both International and Domestic was made, making the terminal quite colourful and lively. All passengers and visitors to Airport and general public appeared to enjoy , witnessing the tri colour illumination not only at the terminal building but at the city side including the car park area.
