Arun Kumar-DIRECTOR GENERAL OF CIVIL AVIATION, AAI
Mr. Arun Kumar is a career civil servant, who joined the Government of India as an Indian Administrative Service Officer in 1989. For about 22 years, he served in the Northern IndianState of Haryana in various capacity such as Managing Director, Power Distribution and Transmission Utilities, as Head of State Tax Administration, as Chief Executive Officer of the State Transport Undertaking, as Director of Industries and Mines and asDirector of Environment and Member Secretary in State Pollution Control Board. He has also worked in the Union Territory of Chandigarh as Deputy Commissioner for two years. Similarly, in the State of Haryana, he has worked as District Collector in Rohtak,Jhajjar and Faridabad. For about almost five and a half years, he is working in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, first as Joint Secretary, looking after the work of Airports, Airlines, DGCA, Bilateral and Parliamentary Affairs. While in charge of Bilaterals, he was the Leader of Indian delegation in multiple Air Services Negotiations and has signed about 40 Agreements/MoU on behalf of India, with various countries. Later, he was upgraded as Additional Secretary in the Ministry and further he has been made the Director General of Civil Aviation from June, 2019. He has attended many training programmes in India and Abroad and also attended many short term professional courses in Indian Institute of Management, National Law School, IATAand Cambridge University.
Shri Anuj Aggarwal took over the charge of Member (Human Resources) of Airports Authority of India on 1st December, 2014.
Shri Aggarwal is an Engineering Graduate from BITS Pilani and holds Advance Diploma in Management. He has successfully completed the professional courses on "Airport Executive Leadership Programme" jointly conducted by ACI and the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University, Canada; "Management Development Programme on Aviation Management” conducted by IIM, Ahmedabad; "International Executive Diploma Programme" Conducted by School of Business, George Washington University, Washington DC and "Certified Corporate Directorship" conducted by Institute of Directors, New Delhi; “Advanced Leadership Programme” from University of Maryland, Washington DC. He has actively participated in various National and International Workshops /Conferences related to Aviation.
Shri Anuj Aggarwal is having more than 33 years of experience in PSUs. He Joined as Class-I officer in AAI at Jaipur Airportin the year 1989 and moved up the ladder before taking over as Member (HR).He has worked in various leadership positions in AAI like Regional Executive Director (Northern Region), Airport Director (Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Goa International Airports).Shri Aggarwal has put in more than 30 years of service in the Aviation sector in different roles and has acquired vast experience in the field of Planning, Engineering, Operations, Administration,Corporate Social Responsibility and Human Resources Management.
Prior to joining AAI in 1989, Shri Aggarwal worked with NBCC, a Public Sector Enterprise in Engineering and Project Management, for more than 3 years.
Presently, Shri Aggarwal is also on the Board of Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL), Dholera International Airport Company Limited (DIACL) and AAI Cargo Logistics & Allied Services Company Limited (AAICLAS). He is an Executive Council Member in Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPF) & Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University (RGNAU) and Vice President of All India Public Sector Sports Promotion Board (AIPSSPB), AAI.
Shri Aggarwal is a team player with the ability to handle large taskforce in a disciplined & organized manner as well as monitoring and motivating teams in optimizing performance levels. Shri Aggarwal is an avid nature lover and enjoys exploring the new places.
Shri Anil Kumar Pathak has taken over charge of Member (Planning) in Airports Authority of India on 21.08.2018. Shri Pathak holds Master Degree in Environment Science & Engineering. He is also certified International Airport Professional (IAP) by ACI-ICAO.
Prior to this assignment, Shri Pathak was Executive Director (Planning) & Executive Director (Engineering) in Corporate Headquarters and associated with Corporate Planning, Traffic Forecasting, and Airport Infrastructure Planning & Execution of projects across India.
He is having 30 years of rich experience in planning, design of modern state-of-art environment-friendly airport terminals and airside infrastructure like runways, apron etc. its financial evaluation, regulatory clearances, tendering & award processes. He is also associated with execution of various Greenfield & Brownfield Airport Projects across India.
INDRAKANTI NARASIMHA MURTHY
MEMBER (OPERATIONS) & MEMBER(ANS) - ADDITIONAL CHARGE
Shri Indrakanti Narasimha Murthy has taken over the charge of Member (Operations) and Board Member of Airports Authority of India (AAI) on 23/11/2016. He is a Post Graduate in Physics (Electronics) and joined as Aerodrome Officer in August, 1985 in Civil Aviation Department, G.O.I. which subsequently became Airports Authority of India. Sh. Murthy has 31 years of long experience in aviation sector by serving different positions in Directorate of Air Traffic Management, Directorate of Aerodrome Planning, Airport Management & Operations of AAI. Prior to taking over the charge of Member (Operations), he served as Regional Executive Director (Southern Region) at Chennai and Executive Director (Air Traffic Management) in Air Space Management Directorate at Corporate Headquarter of Airports Authority of India.
Shri K. Vinayak Rao, Indian Railways Accounts Service (IRAS) officer of 1987 batch took over the charge of Member (Finance) from 13th May, 2020 on the Board of the Airports Authority of India. Prior to this appointment, Shri Rao was serving as Member (Finance) in Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
As Member (Finance) of AAI, Shri K. Vinayak Rao will be the overall in-charge of Finance, Accounts and Financial operation of the organization. He will also be responsible for evolving, formulating policies and strategies related to entire gamut of finance operation, including resource mobilization and statutory compliances. Shri Rao will also play a leadership role and provide effective support in achieving sustained growth of the organization’s business.
During his tenure in Indian Railways, he has served in various capacities in zonal railways, construction projects, and production units. He has worked as Executive Director (Finance Expenditure) in Railway Board (Ministry of Railways) from 2009 to 2014. He was also on the Board of Pipavav Railway Corporation Limited (PRCL) and Railway Energy Management Company (REMC) Ltd.
Apart from this, Shri Rao has a wide experience in power sector too as he has served as Member (Finance) in the erstwhile Maharashtra State Electricity Board and Director (Finance) in the four restructured companies from 2003- 2009. He played an instrumental role in restructuring of Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB).
An alumnus of St Stephen’s College, Delhi, Shri K. Vinayak Rao holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics.
Dr. Venkateswarlu Kasam is an entrepreneur, educationist, and a social worker. He is an M.Sc in Physics and PhD. in Astronomy (Astro Physics) from Osmania University, Hyderabad. His Doctoral thesis on 'Studies of some major meteor showers associated with long period Comets" received wider acclaim from academia for insightful and thought provoking research.
Dr. Kasam has established educational institutions in Nalgonda district. He has been associated with a number of N605 working for the development of villages and contributed significantly to bring about difference in the lives of people. He participates in TV debates of regional channels and publishes articles on various socio-cultural-political issues periodically in popular News Papers
