Bareilly Airport was inaugurated by state civil aviation minister Sh. Nand Gopal Nandi and Union minister Sh.Santosh Gangwar on 10 March 2019 at the civil enclave of Trishul Air Base.
A new terminal building was inaugurated on 8 March 2021 as part of the airport expansion project. The building is spread over 3,020 square meters and has a capacity to accommodate over 400 passengers(200Arrival and 200 Departure). It has 02 baggage conveyor belts in Arrival Hall and 06 check-in counters.
Its new phase-II apron measuring 150×120 square meters provides parking space for 03 Airbus-321 aircraft at a time as per IMG norms, and Bareilly Airport has a car parking space for 168 vehicles.
At present Bareilly Airport is connected with 02 destinations namely Mumbai and Bengaluru with the help of M/s Indigo Airline.
