
Airports Authority of India (AAI) in association with the Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC), is continuously working towards the upliftment of the underprivileged section of society especially SC/ST/OBC/Women, unemployed youth & economically weaker section (EWS) of the society. A Job oriented skill development center was inaugurated by senior officers of AAI under the program at Kokrajhar, Assam at an estimated cost of Rs. 10.59 Cr in November 2018. Similarly, a center was opened at Assam Agricultural University campus in Dec 2019.

The country's first Aviation Multi Skill Development Centre (AMSDC) was inaugurated on 27th February 2018 in Chandigarh, in collaboration with National Skill Development Corporation where AAI plans to train 2360 people in various aviation related courses to uplift the under privileged youth, especially women by training them and skilling them to head start their careers in aviation.

A similar initiative is also taken up in Mumbai, Maharashtra where another Aviation Skill Development Centre, inaugurated in April 2019, to provide & promote education in aviation, to provide employable and skilled manpower to Civil Aviation Sector and to improve the socioeconomic conditions of the society as a whole.
