• It places many medium scale industries include the manufacturing of pesticides, fertilizers, tyres, tubes, footwear, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, wheat products, steel rolling, fruits and fish canning, cashew nuts, textiles, brewery products.

TOURISM :

•Tourism is Goa's primary industry: it handles 12 % of all foreign tourist arrivals in India. 

• Goa invokes the image of stretches of beaches with prancing holiday-hoppers.

• Chartered flights to Goa, hotels and other amenities flourished to meet the demands of the influx of tourists.

• Its Gothic churches, ruined and flourishing temples, pristine beaches, cultural festivals and its unique & mouth-watering cuisine, all make Goa a place to visit.

• Aguada Fort: A spring within the fort provided water supply to the ships, giving it the name "Aguada" (meaning 'water'..) The fort, at present, houses the central jail. A 19th century built lighthouse is situated inside the fortress.

• Mayam Lake: the lily covered Carambolin Lake has an enormous amount of waterfowl, many Egrets and Heron, Bronze-winged, Pheasant-Tailed Jacana and thousands of exotic species such as Comb Duck and Cotton Pygmy-Goose.

• Some other places for tourist are: Panaji- the official capital of Goa, Vasco-da-Gama- geometrically planned well laid out coastal town, Margaon- city of Portuguese's cultural heritage, Vejha Goa or Old Goa, Dona Paula, Mira-mar beach, Colva beach, Bogmallo Beach, Arambol Beach, Palolem Beach, Spice Garden, Mangeshi Temples, Japanese Garden, Vagator, Anjuna, Baga & Calangute.

• Churches: The churches in the beach capital of India are places to visit. Amongst the most popular churches of Goa are Se Cathedral, Convent & Church of St. Francis of Assisi and Church & Convent of St. Monica.
