Aerodrome Licensing

To assist in obtaining and maintaining the currency of Aerodrome license all AAI managed airports used for scheduled air transport operations, as envisaged in national and International regulations. The Aerodrome Licensing Department handles:

• Guidance and preparing AAI managed airports for obtaining Aerodrome License.

• Provide guidance and assistance to airports in preparing aerodrome licensing documents.

• Monitoring and maintaining aerodrome licensing status of AAI managed airports.

• Providing comments on soft copy of aerodrome licensing documents sent by airports, before calling them to CH0 for submission of documents in hard copy.

• Conducting Aerodrome Licensing committee (CHQ) meetings with APD/APC/officers of AAI airports called on tour to CH0 for processing, scrutinizing and finalization of licensing documents before submission to DGCA's office.

• Assist nodal officer of aerodrome licensing at RHQ & station level in aerodrome licensing matter.

• Work as nodal agency between DGCA and AAI managed airports in aerodrome licensing matters.

• Coordination and communication with DGCA's office regarding aerodrome licensing matter ofAAl.

• Communicating various DGCA's letters, suggestions affecting Aerodrome licensing procedure to RHQ and airports.

• Initiating and reminding airports for timely submission of application/documents/quarterly ATRs for fresh and renewal of aerodrome license.

• Making provision and seeking necessary approvals for payment of aerodrome license and renewal fee to DGCA.

• Inspection of aerodromes as CHQ representative along with DGCA‘ s inspection team for aerodrome licensing.

• Promote the awareness regarding aerodrome licensing in the organization by education and training programme.

• . Maintaining, reviewing and updating of "Manual on Aerodrome Licensing ofAAl airports".
