Lions Mural

 

The Asiatic Lion, is a population of Panthera leo, that today survives in the wild only in India. Since the turn of the 20th century, the range has been restricted to Gir national park and the surrounding areas in Gujarat. Historically, it inhabited much of south west Asia to northern India. It is usually large and of very dark brown colour with some parts of its body being almost black.

We celebrate this magnificient lions of India in Gujrat.
