International Kite Festival

It is one of the biggest festivals celebrated in Gujarat. According to the Indian calendar, this festival of Uttarayan marks the day when the winter season starts changing into summer. It is considered one of the most important days in India in terms of harvest as it also marks the end of winter and the beginning of the harvest season. This day also marks the beginning of the auspicious Uttarayan which lasts for six months.
