Shri T.R. Baalu, Hon'ble Member of Parliament & Chairman, AAC convened the AAC meeting. Points related to Removal of obstacles in the runway, Green Field Airport & its land acquisition, Cab pickup point in front of domestic terminal (Plaza), Runway capacity enhancement work, Laser light complaints, increase in the frequency of Metro services during late night hours, posting of CISF official speaking local language at entry gates, in-flight announcements with leaders name of the terminals in Tamil, diversion of external drains from Cowl bazaar to Adyar River, etc. were discussed. Chairman, AAC instructed Airport Director, Airlines Operating Committee (AOC) and other State Government Officials to take corrective measures for the benefit of public. On conclusion, press was briefed about the development works at Chennai Airport and points discussed during the meeting.Review of Fog Preparedness at Chennai, Varanasi & Bhopal Airportsth On 13 December 2025, fog preparedness activities were conducted at Chennai, Varanasi, and Bhopal Airports involving all stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient winter operations.
