During the recent airline service disruptions,the Airports Authority of India played aproactive, coordinated, and passengercentric role to mitigate inconvenience andrestore normalcy across the aviationnetwork.AAIworkedcloselywiththeMinistryof Civil Aviation, DGCA, airlines, CISF, ATCunits, and ground-handling agencies toensure seamless on-ground management ataffected airports. Real-time monitoring ofairport operations was undertaken, withcontinuous sharing of data on passengermovement, flight status, congestion levels,and resource deployment. Airport Directorsand senior AAI officials actively convenedregular stakeholder meetings to addressemergingchallengespromptly.In parallel with on-ground measures, AAImaintained a strong and responsivepresence on social media platforms todisseminate timely, accurate, and airportspecific updates to passengers. Regularadvisories, operational status updates, andassistance information were shared tocountermisinformationandenable passengers4 AAIConnect ISSUE 50 | December 2025to plan their journeys with clarity andconfidence. Queries and concerns raised bypassengers online were acknowledged andaddressed promptly in coordination withairlinesandairportteams.Special emphasis was placed on assistingstranded passengers through additional helpdesks, enhanced manpower deployment,queue management, priority baggagedelivery, and provision of essential facilities,with particular care for senior citizens,children, Divyangjan passengers (Personswith Reduced Mobility), patients, andfamilies. Across airports such as Chennai,Kolkata, Bikaner, Bagdogra, Dehradun,Bhubaneswar, and others, AAI's swiftoperational interventions and transparentcommunication helped stabilise passengerflow and ensure comfort and safety. Throughconstant vigilance, effective coordination,and proactive public communication, AAIsignificantly contributed to the rapidstabilisation of operations and reaffirmed itscommitment to safe, efficient, andpassenger-focused airport services duringthisunprecedenteddisruption.AAI's proactive role in managing airlineoperational disruptions
