CAT-II Low Visibility Procedure (LVP) was th successfully commenced at Bhopal Airport from 27 November, 2025. With CAT-II capability, Bhopal is geared to handle an increased number of diversion flights this winter. With this upgrade, the airport can now safely support aircraft operations at Runway Visual Range (RVR) as low as 350m, significantly enhancing reliability during low-visibility conditions. Key readiness activitiesCAT-II lighting calibration, ILS CATII commissioning, ATC preparedness, stakeholder coordination, and DGCA approvals have been successfully completed.
