The Kamakhya Temple (Assamese: কামাখ্যা দেৱালয়) also known as Kamrup-Kamakhya temple, Kamakhya Devalaya, is a Hindu temple dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhya.It is one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas.Situated on the Nilachal Hill in western part of Guwahati city in Assam, India, it is the main temple in a complex of individual temples dedicated to the ten Mahavidyas of Saktism : Kali, Tara, Sodashi, Bhuvaneshwari, Bhairavi, Chhinnamasta, Dhumavati, Bagalamukhi, Matangi and Kamalatmika.Among these, Tripurasundari, Matangi and Kamala reside inside the main temple whereas the other seven reside in individual temples.It is an important pilgrimage destination for Hindus and especially for Tantric worshipers.

The Purva Tirupati Balaji temple is a beautiful temple of Guwahati located at Lokhra area. The Balaji temple is a replica of the famous Tirupati Venkateshwara temple of Southern India. The Tirupati temple in southern India is situated in Tirumala in Chittor district of the state of Andhra Pradesh. The Balaji temple in Guwahati is dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara and is located around 10 kms from the city center. The temple was built in the year 1998 with pristine architectural structures.

Umananda Devaloi is a Shiva temple located at the Peacock Island in the middle of river Brahmaputra just opposite the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup or the Kachari Ghat in Guwahati. It is known as smallest inhabited Riverine Island in the world. Country boats that are available on the bank of Brahmaputra take the visitors to the island. The mountain on which the temple has been built is known as Bhasmacala.
