Hindi Translator at Dibrugarh, Agartala and Imphal Airport

Applications are invited for the post of Hindi Translator at Dibrugarh, Agartala and Imphal Airport under North East Region and liable to be posted anywhere in India, in the IDA pay scale of Rs. 6300-180-8460-200-12060 plus allowance.  The candidates must be registered in the Employment Exchange in any state under the North Eastern Region.  The total number of posts likely to be filled up is 03. The posts are purely temporary but likely to be permanent.  

The reservation breakup for the 03 post under NE Region is as under:  

 ST - 01, UR - 02.  
The Eligibility criteria for the post are as under

1.  AGE:  

18 to 30 years as on 01.01.2005 (Relaxable to SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Serviceman) as per Government rules). 

2.  EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION 

M. A. in English with Hindi as a subject at degree level or M. A. in Hindi with English as a subject at degree level.

  OR 

Master's degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi/English, with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or either of the two as medium of examination and the other as compulsory/elective subject at degree level:

OR 

Master's degree of a recognized University in any subject other that Hindi/English, with Hindi/English medium and English/Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or as medium of examination at degree level:

OR 

Bachelor's degree of a recognized university, with Hindi and English as compulsory/ elective subjects or either of the two as medium of examination and the other as a compulsory/elective subject plus a recognized Diploma /certificate course in Translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa or two years' experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central/State Government offices, including Government of India undertakings.  

3.  DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION:   Knowledge in Hindi Typing.   

Candidates fulfilling the above conditions may submit their application on plain paper in the following format to the Regional Executive Director, Airports Authority of India, North-Eastern Region, LGBI Airport, Guwahati -781015. (The envelope should be super-scribed by the name of the post applied for) so as reach on or before 9th May'2005.
THE APPLICATION SHOULD ACCOMPANY THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS
  • Attested photocopies of Educational qualification certificates, Caste Certificate, Date of birth Certificate, copies of employment exchange registration certificate, experience certificate, if any along with a non-refundable demand draft of Rs. 150/- (One hundred Fifty only) drawn in favour of  Airports Authority of India payable at Guwahati.  SC and ST candidates are exempted from payment.
  • 3 copies of recent passport size photograph (One self attested photograph is to be pasted on the application form and the other two are to be stapled with application signed on the back side).
  • Applicants in Govt. /semi Govt. /PSUs should apply through proper channel.
OTHER CONDITIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS
  • Appointment to the above mentioned posts is subject to fulfilling the eligibility conditions and passing the Written Test/Interview.
  • Candidates will have to appear for the Written Test /Interview at their own expenses.  Candidates belonging to SC/ST who are not working in Govt. Autonomous body/PSU will be paid second class rail fare for interview only.
  • AAI reserve  the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for test/interview on the basis of any of the norms decided by the authority
  • Candidates are advised to submit only one application.
  • Incomplete/incorrect/unsigned application will rejected without any further correspondence.
  • The application received after the due date will not be entertained.  However, AAI shall not be responsible for any postal delay.  
  • Canvassing in any form or bringing any influence will be treated as disqualification.
