The 2nd ATS Coordination meeting of Bay Of Bengal, Arabian Sea Indian Ocean region (BOBASIO/2) was held in Chennai, India from 11th - 13th April 2012. The meeting was attended by delegates from Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Maldives, Nepal, Oman, Seychelles, Singapore, Thailand, IATA and IFATCA.
Workshop on Airspace Safety Monitoring jointly conducted by Airports Authority of India and Indian Statistical Institute was held in New Delhi, from 7th to 11th May 2012. Air Traffic Controllers from all Area Control Centers in India attended the workshop.
BOBASMA has been endorsed as an En-route Monitoring Agency for the Bay Of Bengal Arabian Sea Indian Ocean sub-region by APANPIRG.
Phase 1 implementation of 50NM Reduced Longitudinal Separation on two routes N571 & P762 commenced on 30th June 2011.
Phase 2A implementation of 50 Nm Reduced Longitudinal Separation commenced from 15th December 2011 on routes L301, L507, L509, L510,L759, M300, M770, N563, N877, N895, P570, P574, P628 and P646.
