Backdrop - The Civil Aviation Training College (CATC), Allahabad is a training establishment of Airports Authority of India (AAI). This is the only institute of its kind in India. It meets training requirement in the field of ATM and CNS Maintenance & Operations, as per ICAO standards.

CATC is located at Bamrauli, Allahabad. Situated at a distance of approx. 10 Kms. west of Allahabad Railway Station, on the Grant Trunk Road, it is close to Bamrauli Aerodrome, Allahabad.

The CATC has existed ever since 1948 (under the then Civil Aviation Department, Govt. of India). CATC is a modernized training establishment in terms of Infrastructure, training facilities, laboratories and simulators. The institutional building with 33026 SQMs of covered space alongwith hostels and residential buildings are spread over 106 acres (43 hectare).
