CATC is fulltime member of the ICAO
TRAINAIR Programme since 1993 and has an established Course Development Unit.
Drawing competent officers from various disciplines of CNS and ATM, the
Standard Training Packages (STPs) as per ICAO standards are developed. |
CATC have already developed six STPs which are available "for global
sharing for the TRAINAIR members". Since its inception, the CDU has
developed the following six STPs:
1. Automatic Message Switching System Supervisor (AMSSS)
2. Radar Control Approach (RCAP)
3. VHF equipment systems (PARKAIR,UK/ECIL, India) maintenance
4. DME (AWA, Australia / GCEL, India) maintenance
5. ILS (Normarc, Norway)maintenance course
6. Aerodrome Assistants' Course
Following two STPs are presently under different phases of development:
1. Radar Control Approach Course (Primary and Secondary Surveillance
Radar)
2. VHF Communication System Maintenance Course
Other courses at catc are patterned on Standard Training Guidelines of
ICAO.
