Mr. B.N.Madhava Rao
|
Executive Director and Principal of the
institute, did his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (light current)
at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He joined the Civil Aviation
Department as Technical Officer in 1973. During the course of his climb through
the hierarchial ladder he has held various positions in the organization,
gathering invaluable experience and knowledge of CNS. He has served at several
metro and major airports as CNS – in – charge. He was the chief of Radio
construction and Development Unit during 1996-2002, in which period the unit
was installed and commissioned a dozen ILS/VOR/DMEs, and 2 Radars, and
innumerable number of HF/VHF/ NDB. His significant are the installing and
commissioning of all communication and Navigation facilities required to start
aircraft operations at the new Cochin Airport in 1999 in a record time of 4
months and number of HF/VHF/ NDB. His significant are the installing and
commissioning of the ILS for runway 28 approach at Delhi Airport for Cat. III
operations. He has visited abroad for training, for participating in ICAO
seminars and also for conducting Factory Acceptance Test. He has also carried
out various assignments for conducting departmental proficiency examinations in
the field of CNS.

Mr. Vinod Kumar Yadav
|
Mr. Vinod K. Yadava, in his capacity as General
Manager (ATM) is heading the ATM faculty. He joined as an ATC Officer
with the DGCA in 1973 and has carried out various assignments during his
different tenures at various locations. He holds post-graduate degree in
Physics with specialization in Electronics and Radio Physics from Banaras Hindu
University, India. Before joining DGCA hehad published four research papers on
the study of Ionosphere Layers. During his three tenures at Mumbai airport he
had held all ATC ratings including TAR,RSR and PAR and was responsible for
conducting On the Job Training and examinations for ATCOs ratings in all the
ATC units with distinction of implementing training program successfully for
automation of ATC system in1999. He has also served at CATC earlier from 1990
to 1998 as senior instructor and conducted all procedural and radar courses on
various simulators. Being an expert in instructional techniques, he was also
associated for conducting Instructors Development Program (IDP) at CATC based
on the ICAO TRAINAIR STP. Besides his operational contributions in ATC he has
also been an ICAO fellow and participated in various seminars and workshops in
India and abroad.

Mr. A. K. Bansal
|
Mr. A.K.Bansal, General Manager and Chief
Instructor(CNS) holds Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Electronics
and Electrical Communications (with Honours) from Punjab Engineering College,
Chandigarh. After serving for a brief spell as Lecturer in the same Engineering
College and Junior Scientific Officer in a Defence Lab, he joined Civil
Aviation Department in 1974 as Technical Officer. He has served for 22 years at
various airports including Delhi & Mumbai International airports in the
area of operation and maintenance of CNS facilities including Cat-III ILS. His
other areas of experience are in the fields of flight calibration of Nav Aids,
CNS installations and at Corporate Headquarters.
