Reservation for physically disabled candidates is on horizontal basis, the selected candidates will be placed on the appropriate category (viz. SC/ST/OBC/UR) to which they belong.  Age relaxation, other concessions for physically disabled persons will be as per Govt. Rules.   

The total emoluments as mentioned above includes Basic Pay, DA, HRA, CCA etc. at the minimum of the scale.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS 

01.   Sr. Assistant (Statistics) 

Qualification : Post Graduate in Economics/Statistics/ Mathematics. Desirable : Knowledge in Transport Economics.  Experience : Two years in Statistics.  Age : Below 32 years. 

02.   Sr. Assistant (Steno) 

Qualification : Graduate with speed 80/40 w.p.m. in English Stenography and typing  respectively with proficiency in Computer Operations.  Experience : Two years as Stenographer.  Age : below 27 years.

03.   Sr. Assistant (Nursing) 

Qualification : 10+2 with 03 years Diploma in Nursing from Recognised Medical Institute. Experience : 05 years as Nursing Assistant/Medical Assistant in a reputed Dispensary/Hospital/Nursing Home. Age : Below 32 years. 

04.   Sr. Assistant (Hindi Steno) 

Qualification : Graduate with speed of 80/40 w.p.m. in Hindi Stenography and typing respectively with proficiency in computer operations.  Desirable : B & C Certificate of National Cadet Corps.  Experience : Two years as Hindi Stenographer.  Working knowledge of English stenography/typing will be an additional qualification.   Age : Below 27 years. 

05.   Sr. Assistant (Hindi Translator) 

Qualification : MA (HINDI) in 2nd class.  Experience : Two years in translation from English to Hindi and vice versa.  Desirable : Knowledge of Hindi and English typing.  Age : Below 27 years.  

06.    Jr. Assistant (Fire Service) 

Qualification : Pass in 10+2 preferably with Science or any equivalent qualification from recognised University/Board.  Should posses valid heavy vehicle driving licence. Experience in Fire Fighting and Rescue Operations desirable.  Knowledge of Motor Mechanism will be preferred. Age : Below 30 years. 

Physical Requirements : General Physique : Good;       Eye Sight : Distant vision - 6/6 in both eyes without glasses;  Near Vision - N5 in both eyes without glasses;  Colour vision should be normal as determined by Ishihara's charts; Night Blindness : Absent; Field of Vision : Each eye should have full field of vision as determined by confrontation test;  Height : Not less than 168 cm.;  Chest : 81 cm. normal and 86 cm. Expanded (relaxation by 3 cm. in height/chest for candidates belonging to hilly areas on production of bonafide certificate);  Weight : Not less than 56 kgs.;  Hearing : Normal;  Speech : Normal;  Refractive Error : No refractive error is acceptable. 

Disqualification : physical deformity, chronic diseases, knocking knee, bow legs, degree of squint, flat footed will be considered as disqualification. 

07.    Jr. Assistant (ACR) 

Qualification : Matriculation.  Must have undergone 12 months Refrigeration Mechanics or equivalent course in a recognised Technical Institute and must have served one year Apprenticeship in a reputed firm or organisation of Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Engineers OR 02 years Apprenticeship in a reputed firm of Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Engineers.  Experience : Minimum one year as Air-conditioning or Refrigeration Serviceman or as a Junior Mechanic or in any skilled capacity on maintenance and installation of water coolers, small air conditioners and cold storage.  Age : Below 27 years. 

GENERAL INFORMATIONS/CONDITIONS 

  • In addition to total emoluments other benefits admissible are HRD, Transport, Canteen, Proficiency allowance, CPF, Gratuity, Medical Reimbursement, Group Insurance, Leave Encashment, Benevolent Fund Scheme, Uniform etc.  

  • Other things being equal, candidates outstanding in sports will be given preference. 

  • Part time experience will not be considered. 

  • Maximum age and experience will be determined as on 31st December, 2004. 

  • Employees of Govt./Quasi Govt. organisation, Public Sector Undertakings/Local Bodies etc. should submit their applications through proper channel. 

  • Management will have discretion for rejecting any application without assigning any reasons and for fixing higher standards for calling candidates for test/interview and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. 

  • The Authority reserves the right not to fill up any posts. 

  • Incomplete applications and applications received after the specified date are liable to be rejected.  Mere fulfilment of requirement laid down in the advertisement does not qualify a candidate for test/interview.

  • Candidates selected can be posted on round the clock duties (shift duties) wherever applicable.  (10) Any attempt to bring outside influence will be treated as disqualification.

FOR PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED CANDIDATES 

The extent of physical disability/deformity as mentioned above should be minimum 40% for availing benefit of reservation under the Category OH and HH.  A certificate of disability in the prescribed format issued by competent Medical Authority for the purpose of employment should be submitted along with the application.   

Written/skill test and interview for all the above posts shall be conducted in Trivandrum only.
